Wild Women Summer Adventure
Reindeer, sled dogs, yoga, and fun-loving ladies: it’s the recipe for the perfect vacation!
Join us July 11-16th, 2025 for a week of fun in the Alaska Range at Susitna Adventure Lodge.
Day 1: Begin the adventure in Anchorage, Alaska. Ride the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali. Get picked up from the train depot and enjoy the scenic 60 mile drive down the Denali Highway to Susitna Adventure Lodge.
Day 2: After a little morning yoga, meet the enthusiastic huskies of Squid Acres Kennel! Watch the huskies in action as they get their morning exercise running in team in front of the motorized cart. (This activity is weather dependent). Enjoy an afternoon hike followed by drinks on the pontoon boat on the private lake.
Day 3: Today’s the day to load up the herd of reindeer and embark on our reindeer backpacking adventure! Carry a light pack of personal items, and let the reindeer carry the rest! Camp out on the trail to get the full Alaskan experience.
Day 4: Continue on our reindeer backpacking adventure. Keep eyes peeled for wildlife like caribou, sheep, and moose! Enjoy the second and final night camping on the trail.
Day 5: Return to Susitna Adventure Lodge and enjoy hot showers and relaxing on the deck, reminiscing about the recent adventure.
Day 6: Say good bye to animals (reindeer and sled dogs) and return by car to Denali, then ride the Alaska Railroad back to Anchorage.
